In France, demand for affordable student housing still exceeds supply, public student residences are hard to access, and students often have to compete in the private market under time pressure. In Switzerland, the housing market is also tight, with the national vacancy rate down to 1.0% in 2025, reinforcing how difficult it is for renters to find reliable housing fast.

For landlords, the process is just as painful. Managing listings, reviewing candidate files, chasing documents, coordinating signatures, and collecting rent creates a heavy operational workload. Homelinker wanted to redesign that experience from the ground up and make the whole rental journey simpler, safer, and more trustworthy for both sides.
